The Need for Self Defense Techniques

It’s an unfortunate fact of the human condition that we need to know self defense techniques. Whether you’re a soldier, a police officer, an orderly in a psychiatric ward or a normal person walking the streets, there will always be threats to your personal safety. People are subjected to aggression every day, and sadly, few know how to deal with it.
Have you ever been in a situation where you were humiliated, or even worse, injured because someone else was bigger, better, stronger and faster than you? Did you think, “If only I knew how to fight back?” At least did you wish you knew how to get away from the conflict? Many people have.
Unfortunately, most people think they aren’t in good enough shape to learn how to defend themselves. Or maybe they think they don’t have the time to learn. Perhaps it’s a matter of money. Maybe they think that all they need is a gun or some pepper spray. All of these are products of wrong thinking.
Very few people enter a dojo as an athlete. The training is actually what makes them an athlete. Time? How much time do you think you would lose being held up, submitting police reports and hopefully spending time in court sending the thugs to jail? An even worse scenario is time lost being laid up in a hospital or being unable to work from the trauma of having been victimized? How much time do you think you would lose with your loved ones in the case of death? For that matter, how much money do you think you would lose in these events?
Guns and pepper spray are viable options except for two things. They can be taken away from you, and even worse, can be used against you. Being armed does have its disadvantages.
What if you could find a self defense course that doesn’t require you to spend a lot of time and money to learn in the bigger picture? How much would that be worth to you?
